Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Spotted with Snapdragon 845 on AnTuTu

Xiaomi is most likely to announce its upgraded variant of the Mi Mix 2 in late February. The new variant will be called as Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. The device has recently appeared on the AnTuTu benchmark site. The listing has mentioned a high-end smartphone with codename ‘Polaris’ which is believed to be the Mi Mix 2S.

If this holds true, the Mi Mix 2S will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. The Polaris device has scored a whopping 270,461 points on the AnTuTu benchmark. Certainly, the massive benchmark results will be due to the inclusion of a Snapdragon 845 chipset. The new processor surely will outperform any other existing flagship smartphone in terms of speed and performance.

The upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset is touted to receive a performance bump over its current-generation chipset (Snapdragon 835). To recall, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 boasted a Snapdragon 835 processor. The Mi Mix 2 is a great smartphone in itself; that’s why the expectations for Mi Mix 2S have been increased.

The Mi Mix 2S has been leaked several times now and we already know some of the key specifications of the phone. Due to its top-notch specifications, it will compete with flagship smartphones like Apple iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S9. If the rumours and leaks are to be believed, the Mi Mix 2S will brag a 6-inch OLED bezel-less display.

Like mentioned before, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. It will be one of the first few smartphones that will come with the new SoC beneath its hood. The device will be accelerated due to a 6GB RAM. For photography, there will be a single camera setup on the rear panel of the device.

According to reports, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will be the most expensive smartphone till the date from Xiaomi. The base model of the device is rumoured to cost CNY 3,000 (roughly Rs 30,500). The previous reports suggested that the company will bring this new device in late February during the MWC 2018 event. However, there is no confirmation has received from Xiaomi on this.
