Oppo has recently announced the R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition smartphones in the Chinese market. The phones were expected to be launched on March 31; however, the company launched them earlier on March 19. The Oppo R15 smartphones will be sold in China starting April 1 and the pre-orders for the same is already started.
The Oppo R15 smartphone will be offered in Star Purple, Snow White, and Hot Red colour options. It is priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs 30,800). On the other hand, the R15 Dream Mirror Edition will be offered in Dream Mirror Red colour option for CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs 33,900), whereas the Ceramic Edition will cost CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs 35,900).
Oppo R15: Specifications
The latest Oppo smartphone features a 6.28-inch Full HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) OLED display which has 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone brags a 2GHz MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor paired with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and external storage via microSD card. The handset flaunts a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.
For photography, there is a dual camera module offered on the rear of the device. There is a 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, EIS, and LED flash along with a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, there is a 20MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The phone comes with iPhone X-like notch on the display.
The selfie shooter has support for Portrait mode and AI-assisted beautification features. The device packs a 3450mAh battery. The latest smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS with ColorOS 5.0 skin on top. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM support, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth.

Both R15 and R15 Dream Mirror smartphones share set of similar specifications with few exceptions. The R15 Dream Mirror is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz.
On the camera department, the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror features a dual camera setup consisting of 16MP + 20MP sensors. Also, there is a 20MP selfie snapper at the front. There is an option to choose a ceramic body for Dream Mirror Ceramic Edition model.
