Oppo F7 to Launch Soon in India with iPhone X-like Notch

Oppo is working on the launch of its Oppo F7 smartphone in India. The Chinese smartphone maker has started sharing the teasers mentioning ‘Oppo F7 is Coming’ in India. Like other phones in Oppo’s F-series, the Oppo F7 is believed to be a selfie-centric handset. It is worth mentioning that the company has skipped the ‘F6’ moniker after Oppo F5.

Oppo India posted a few teaser images related to the launch of Oppo F7 on its official Twitter handle. As per the teaser image, the upcoming Oppo smartphone will come with full-screen display along with an iPhone X-like notch at the top. In addition, the teaser image comes with a caption which suggests notch present on the display.

According to a report on Fonearena, the company had posted a tweet mentioning the launch date of Oppo F7 as March 26. Later, Oppo India removed that tweet and replaced it with a different tweet without the date.

Oppo is currently running a campaign related to the launch of the F7 smartphone. The teaser images showcase the Indian cricketers holding the phone. The company has asked to guess the cricketers mentioned in the teaser image. These cricketers are likely to be new brand ambassadors of the brand.

Oppo F7: Rumoured Specifications

On the specifications front, the Oppo F7 could resemble a lot with the upcoming Oppo R15 smartphone. According to a report by GSMArena, Oppo F7 is rumoured to boast a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display as well as 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone will have a 25MP selfie snapper with AR features.

Furthermore, the F7 smartphone is speculated to pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 SoC or MediaTek Helio P6 processor under its hood. The phone will run on Android Oreo OS with Color OS 4.0 skin on top.

The Oppo R15 is also expected to come with an iPhone X-like notch on the display. It will also have a full-screen display. The notch offered on R15 will provide access to apps when tapped on one side of the notch, while the side of the notch will take you to the predefined shortcuts.
