Oppo India has launched an improved variant of its A83 model called the Oppo A83 (2018). The USP of the new Oppo smartphone is its Full View display. The phone is priced at Rs 15,990 in India and it will available for purchase at the leading online stores like Flipkart, Amazon and Paytm. To recall, the original Oppo A83 model was launched in January this year at a price of Rs 13,990.

Similar to the original model, the Oppo A83 (2018) features a 5.7-inch HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) Full Vision display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a 2.5GHz MediaTek 6763T processor clubbed with 4GB of RAM, which is a significant improvement over the 3GB RAM of its predecessor. On the storage front, there is 64GB of internal storage offered on the Oppo A83 (2018) model which can be extended up to 256GB via microSD card.
The new Oppo smartphone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Colour OS 3.2 skin on top. The device is powered by a 3180mAh battery. There is Face Unlock feature available on the like its previous version. Oppo claims that the sharing system called O-share on the device is as fast as it could transfer about 6 to 7 photos within a second.
When it comes to the camera, the Oppo A83 (2018) has a 13MP primary rear camera along with an 8MP selfie snapper. Thanks to the AI Beauty Recognition technology, the A83 (2018) can recognise around 200 facial points, and identify the user. The original Oppo A83 was offered in Black and Champagne Gold colour options, while the Oppo A83 (2018) can be purchased in Gold and Blue colour variants.
The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, Micro-USB port, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The facial recognition feature on the handset is ideal for using your face as a passcode. The sensors onboard include an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor.
The Oppo A83 (2018) is powered by a 3180mAh battery and measures dimensions at 150.50×73.10×7.70mm. It weighs merely 143 grams.
