Xiaomi Dual Punch Hole Display Smartphone to Launch Soon

2019 is the year punch hole display mobile phones come into a full-fledged trend. All the major OEM’s have already launched smartphones with punch hole displays. Now, it looks like even Xiaomi is going to enter the competition. However, instead of just one Xiaomi will incorporate two punch holes in the display. The rumoured patent of the Xiaomi dual punch hole display smartphone has been spotted on LetsGoDigital. The patent comes with 24 different designs. One of the design on this patent features a punch hole for the earpiece.

Additionally, Xiaomi recently registered a patent with the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office). This patent reveals that Xiaomi is indeed designing a smartphone with dual punch hole. According to the patent, the Xiaomi dual punch hole display smartphone will come with a tall screen-to-body ratio and two cameras housed in the display. These cameras will be seen in the form of punch holes.

Furthermore, the patent image also gives a hint that the company might also include other sensors like a brightness detector and a proximity sensor under the display. Moreover, without a doubt, Xiaomi dual punch hole display smartphone will be another in display fingerprint scanner mobile phones.

What do we know so far?

This is not the first time that rumours’ relating to a dual punch hole display device by Xiaomi is making its rounds around the internet. At the end of 2018, there was speculation that Xiaomi will launch a punch hole display smartphone in 2019. However, these rumours did not make an impact and soon disappeared altogether from the rumour mills. Now, the patent has confirmed that Xiaomi will soon launch a punch hole display smartphone.

As of now, it has not been revealed if this rumoured smartphone will launch under the Xiaomi or Redmi series of smartphones. However, seeing that this device will sport premium features, it could be launched under the Mi series. There has been no revelation as to the name of this device. But seeing that the company is working on its Xiaomi Mi 9 & Mi Max 4, we can expect the dual punch hole display to be seen on either one of these phones.
