Movie: Crazy Rich Asians
Crazy Rich Asians is an amazing romantic comedy that had released in September 2018. In a few weeks of its release, the movie garnered a lot of praise and attention. Based on a book, this contemporary romance follows the story of Rachel Chu who flies to Singapore to meet her boyfriend’s family. It’s only after she lands in Singapore does Rachel realize that her boyfriend Nick’s family is one of the richest families in Singapore. And if that wasn’t all, she also finds out that her boyfriend is the most sought out bachelor in the country. Now that she’s here, Rachel has to deal with jealous socialites, quirky relatives and something even worse – Nick’s disapproving mother.
Lucy Hutton and Joshua Templeman are two executive assistants to co-CEOs of a publishing company who don’t just dislike each other, but rather ‘hate’ each other. And both Lucy and Joshua have no qualms about displaying their hatred for each other openly. Lucy cannot stand Joshua’s joyless and uptight attitude at work. On the other hand, Joshua cannot put up with Lucy’s bright clothes and quirky attitude. If this wasn’t fun, then things get even more interesting when both of them submit an application for the same promotion. Things get pretty eventful then on. It is the perfect rom-com which should actually be made into a movie. (We hope that ‘The Hating Game’ becomes one of the books turning into movies in 2019)

When Clare was six, Henry was thirty-six. Both got married when Clare (a beautiful art student) turned twenty-three and Henry (an adventuresome librarian) turned thirty-one. Sounds completely impossible, right? Well, not so much if the protagonist could slip in and out of time in this amazingly written fantasy fiction romance novel. Henry is diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder, which resets his genetic clock and he finds himself in misplaced time- past and future. Read this book to find out how his disappearances affect the marriage and love that Clare and Henry share for each other.

Landon Carter falls in love with Jamie Sullivan when he is forced to community service after getting into trouble. Jane is a conservative and religious daughter of the town’s reverend. Eventually, both Jamie and Landon fall in love with each other. However, there is a heartbreaking secret that Jamie is hiding that is sure to break your heart.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green will end up being one of your best romantic books and will also pull at your heartstrings at the same time. It is a heartbreaking tale between two teenagers who are battling a terminal illness. The book is completely engrossing and heart-wrenching. Battling with the last stage of cancer, Hazel meets Augustus Waters, a boy who appears at the Cancer Kid Support Group. From laughing one minute to crying the next, this book has everything. This tearjerker will move you to believe in true love. Isn’t that exactly what we expect from romantic books? The book was also awarded as the winner for Goodreads Choice 2012.
