Acer has announced the launch of its four new laptops including the world’s thinnest laptop. The list of latest Acer laptops includes Swift 7, Nitro 5, Spin 3 and Chromebook 11. Out of the four, the Swift 7 Acer laptop is assumed to be the world’s thinnest laptop.
All of these four laptops are an upgrade to the Windows 10 lineup and will be displayed at CES 2018. In addition to that, Acer has also announced the availability of the before mentioned Switch 7 Black Edition and Predator Orion 9000 series in the US.
Sporting a thickness of 8.98 mm, Acer believes that the Swift 7 is the world’s thinnest laptop. The screen size for this Acer laptop has been upgraded from a 13.3-inch panel in last year’s model to a 14-inch display with a screen resolution of 1080p and Full HD display. The other features include a backlit keyboard, a Corning Gorilla Glass NBT touchscreen and touchpad.
Additionally, the laptop will be powered by a 7th generation Core i7 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Acer Swift 7 is also presumed to last for 10 hours after a single charge. The price for Swift 7 starts at approximately Rs. 107,500 and will start shipping in March 2018.
Acer Nitro 5 laptop is designed to be the ideal fit for casual gaming. The laptop is powerful enough to support most games right now. This Acer laptop sports a 15.6-inch display along with an AMD Radeon RX560 graphics and the latest AMD Ryzen mobile processors with 4G of RAM. SSD storage can be upgraded up to 512GB for smoother performance.
The NitroSense software in the laptop allows real-time metrics for monitoring the GPU and CPU. The price for Acer Nitro 5 starts approximately at Rs. 50,500 and will start shipping in May 2018.
Acer Spin 3 laptop has been upgraded to support 8th generation Intel Core processors and will feature a new 14-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1080p. The hinge design on this Acer laptop maintains a full 360-degree rotation.
This hinge design makes it easier to use the Spin 3 as a laptop or a tablet and also allows functionality in four different modes. The company claims that this laptop can last for up to 12 hours on a single charge. Furthermore, the price for Acer Spin 3 starts approximately at Rs. 37,900 and will launch in February 2018.
The new Acer Chromebook 11 model sports an 11.6-inch display with 4GB of RAM. The Chromebook also includes a 16GB or 32GB of eMMC storage. Additionally, the Chromebook can last up to 10 hours on a single charge. The other features also include a fanless design and two USB 3.1 Type C ports. Chromebook 11 will be available with touch or non-touch display. Furthermore, the price starts approximately at Rs. 15,700 and will start shipping in April 2018.
