Vivo mobiles unveiled three new Android smartphones – the X9, X9 Plus, and Xplay6 which are now available for pre-order in China. These trio handsets will be available in Gold and Rose Gold colours.
Highlight
One of the biggest highlight of both the handsets is that they shall sport dual front-facing cameras. Vivo X9 and X9 Plus smartphones feature a 20-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. Both the phones also pack a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus.

Vivo X9
The 5.5-incher Vivo X9 comes with a full-HD Super AMOLED display. It offers a 1080×1920 pixels resolution. The handset measures 152.6x74x6.9mm and weighs 154 grams. Under the hood, the dual-SIM smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 clocked at 2GHz paired with a massive 4GB of RAM. The internal storage variants come in the 64GB and 128GB models. The 4G with VoLTE Vivo X9 used Android 6.0 Marshmallow and runs FuntouchOS 3.0. To beef up the security parameters, the mobile sports a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. The phone also supports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. Vivo X9 is fuelled by a 3050mAh battery which comes with fast charging support.
Vivo X9 Plus
The Vivo X9 Plus is also a dual-SIM smartphone that runs FuntouchOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Similae to the X9, the X9 Plus also features fingerprint sensor that doubles up as home button. What differentiates the two cellphones is the display, battery, processor and RAM features.
The Vivo X9 features a bigger 5.88-inch full-HD IPS display. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 6GB of RAM. Internal storage model of 128GB is only available for the smartphone. A large 4000mAh battery with fast charging support is used to juice up the handset. The phone dimensions measure 162x79x7.4mm and weighs 199 grams.
Vivo Xplay6
The 4G VoLTE mobile, Vivo Xplay6 is a bit different from the above two smartphones. The cellphone measures 153.8×73.5×8.4mm and weighs 178 grams. It sports a dual curved display featuring a 5.46-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor the dual-SIM phone supports a 6GB of RAM. It will be available in just 128GB storage model. It runs on FuntouchOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The phone is powered up by a big battery of 4080mAh battery with fast charging support.
The biggest highlight of the Vivo Xplay6 is its 12-megapixel dual rear camera with Sony IMX362 sensor, PDAF, f/1.7 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. It also sports a 5-megapixel secondary rear camera. The handset also sports a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The home button doubles up as the fingerprint scanner to beef up security. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, and Micro-USB.
