Vivo X9 Might Come with Dual-Front Cameras

Vivo Mobiles seems to be ready for the launch of its X9 smartphone. Based on the rumors, the company may release the latest mobile, Vivo X9 on November 17 in China. While no details about the X9 have been known yet, a recent leak hints out dual-front camera setup on it.

According to fresh leak on Weibo spotted by AndroidPure, the Vivo X9 might feature a dual-camera setup at the rear as well as the front panel. Previously, AndroidPure has mentioned that the alleged Vivo X9 smartphone may get the launch on November 17 with the dual-camera setup at the rear. The report also claimed that the dual-camera setup on X9 will feature Sony IMX260 sensor which has seen earlier on Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

While so, some rumors are also pointing towards a 6GB RAM alongside a 4GB RAM variant for Vivo X9. It will be equipped with Qualcomm’s recently announced Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Snapdragon 653 chipset supports the ‘Clear Sight dual camera technology’ that allow an RGB sensor and a monochrome sensor on the device to capture brighter, sharper and colorful photos with less noise.

Vivo X9 Might Come with Dual-Front Cameras

The same Snapdragon 653 chipset was recently been equipped in Oppo’s R9s smartphone. Alongside the Snapdragon 653, Qualcomm announced two more chipsets- Snapdragon 427 and Snapdragon 626. The Vivo X9 appears to be the flagship smartphone, so there are fewer chances for the other two chipsets for X9.

Nowadays, the dual-camera setup is not a new thing. Many latest mobiles come with such camera setups. The Dual-camera setup was initiated from HTC’s One M8 smartphone which uses one sensor to capture the images, while the other one records the depth. On One M8, users were able to add DSLR-like blur effects to the images taken on it.

After this, Huawei P9, Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, LG G5, Honor 8, and lastly Apple iPhone 7 Plus features the dual-camera setup at the rear. The dual-camera setup on iPhone 7 Plus has a telephoto sensor and a wide-angle lens which adds 2x optical zoom functionality. On the other hand, LG G5 utilizes a standard camera lens alongside a wide-angle lens which allows users to take wide angle photographs. The other latest mobiles use an RGB sensor to capture colors and a monochrome sensor. The dual-camera on Vivo X9 is expected to feature the same RGB + Monochrome sensor setup.
