Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ Revealed to Launch in Augmented Reality

Since the time Samsung hinted at the making of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, both the smartphones have been making quite a lot of appearances in the news. The company is all set to launch both the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ at the MWC event later this month. However, what’s new is the unique way in which the launch will take place.

Samsung is going to use Augmented Reality (AR) for attendees to experience a unique Unpacked event. If you are interested in watching the event live, you can download the ‘Unpacked 2018’ app for free from the Play Store.

The app will show all the users a countdown to the event and a content section which will redirect users to a YouTube video. The video gives a glimpse into the revamped camera experience on the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Nevertheless, it’s the AR feature which is the highlight of the app.

The AR feature can be accessed by tapping the button the top-right side of the screen. Tapping the button activates AR experiences such as scanning any Samsung or Galaxy logo on the screen. A report on XDA Developers suggests that a Reddit user has found the 3D images from the company’s ‘Unpacked 2018’ app.
