Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime Spotted with Improved RAM and Fingerprint Scanner

A new device from Samsung with the model number SM-G610F was recently spotted on PhoneRadar and is rumored to be called as Samsung J7 Prime. Earlier, Samsung has launched Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J7 (2016) smartphones. The rumored smartphone is about to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and curved 2.5D glass lay on top of it.

The upcoming J7 Prime will be the third improved version of the Galaxy J7. The Galaxy J7 was first launched in July 2015 in India and was priced at Rs. 14,999 while another version J7 (2016) arrived in May 2016 at a price of Rs. 15,990. The J7 Prime device will be launched in September in Vietnam.

Coming to the specifications, the upcoming smartphone will be equipped with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution. The device will be powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor or Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615/617 octa-core processor. The device will run on an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box OS with TouchWiz UI on top. Coming to memory part, the phone will have a 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage.

The smartphone will sport a 13MP primary rear camera with LED flash and aperture support of f/1.9. While the front camera will be an 8MP selfie shooter with the same f/1.9 aperture support. The device will feature a premium metal body frame, fingerprint scanner integrated into Home button, and will backed-up with a 3300mAh battery. The smartphone will support dual SIM slots with 4G LTE support. The device will be available in Gold and Black color variants.

The pricing of Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is expected to be under Rs. 20,000 as its predecessors Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J7 (2016) were priced at Rs 14,999 and Rs. 15,990 respectively.  To get succeed in this price segment against its competitors, Samsung will have to launch the upcoming J7 Prime within Rs 20,000 considering the specifications.
