Panasonic Eluga I7 with Support for Face & Voice Recognition Launched in India

A new smartphone from the budget segment has made its way to the Indian markets. Panasonic recently introduced its Panasonic Eluga I7 smartphone in the country. This budget smartphone comes with the Arbo Hub. The Arbo Hub is the company’s very own artificial intelligence virtual assistant. Additionally, the Arbo Hub will provide users with information such as cab bookings, news updates, cricket updates, payment reminders and much more.

The smartphone will only be made available in a single 2GB RAM variant paired with 16GB of internal storage. It is priced at Rs 6,499 and will be offered in Black, Gold and Blue colour variants. Eluga I7 will go on sale starting April 24 and will be exclusively available on Flipkart.

Panasonic’s new entry-level smartphone comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ Big View display with a screen resolution of 720×1440 pixels. The 18:9 aspect ratio display is further protected by a 2.5D curved glass design. Moreover, Panasonic Eluga I7 is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.

Under the hood, the smartphone is fuelled by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737H processor. Furthermore, as mentioned earlier, on the storage end, the smartphone features 2GB of RAM coupled with 16GB of internal storage. The onboard storage of the smartphone can be further expanded up to 128GB with a MicroSD card.

Also, the internals of the smartphone is further powered by a strong 4,000mAh battery. As for the camera features, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel sensor on the rear panel along with autofocus and LED flash. On the other hand, the front panel comes with an 8-megapixel sensor with LED flash for selfies and video calling.

What’s more is that there are three options to unlock the smartphone. These options include ‘Trusted Face’ and ‘Trusted Voice’, which will allow a user to unlock their phone by looking at it or by speaking into the device. Apart from this, the smartphone also houses a fingerprint sensor.

Some of the sensors on the Eluga I7 smartphone include a fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer and magnetometer. Connectivity options on the smartphone are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and Micro-USB. Lastly, as for the dimensions, the smartphone measures 148.8×70.9×9.25mm and weighs 168 grams.
