Oppo R9S Teaser Poster Revealed Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB RAM

The Chinese OEM, Oppo has a released a set of selfie-centric smartphones this year. And as a result of which, the company has grabbed a 23 percent market share in its home market. Now, an upcoming mobile dubbed as Oppo R9s has been spotted online via a leaked teaser poster. The poster has revealed some details about the upcoming mobile.

As per the recent reports, Oppo mobiles is the market leader and Huawei mobiles and Vivo mobiles come with 17.4 percent and 12 percent market share. Looking at the numbers, Oppo’s market share has risen more than the combined market share of both Apple iPhones and Samsung mobiles.

The upcoming mobile Oppo R9S appears to be the descendant to the R9 smartphone that was launched in March this year. Furthermore, R9 Plus was also added by the company. Both the smartphones have featured 16MP front-facing cameras. Recently, a teaser has been surfaced on the internet with the tagline- ‘TheNextOne’.

A report from GizmoChina has suggested that the alleged upcoming mobile could be the Oppo R9S smartphone and it might get launched later this year, while some rumors are claiming the launch of the smartphone on October 19. In addition, the Oppo R9S has recently passed the TENNA certification.

Coming to the specifications, the Oppo R9S is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone is expected to offer the same 16MP front-facing camera and a 13MP primary rear camera setup similar to the R9 smartphone. The upcoming mobile is also expected to feature a fingerprint scanner integrated into the Home button.

Another highlight of the upcoming R9S will be the Super VOOC fast charging technology developed by Oppo, which was introduced at the MWC earlier this year. The Super VOOC technology allows users to charge their smartphone from 5 to 100 percent in just 15 minutes using the technology. The Super VOOC technology uses a low voltage 5V charger to improve the charging efficiency and allows faster charging while keeping the device cool.
