Moto M Specifications Revealed In Leaked Photos

A Lenovo smartphone dubbed as Moto M (XT1663) was spotted on GFXBench back in August this year, and afterwards, a similar XT1662 variant has cleared the TENNA certification. The rumored Moto M smartphone is expected to get launched exclusively in Asian markets. Instead of Motorola; Lenovo mobiles is likely to manufacture the Moto M smartphones.

To recall, Lenovo and Microsoft have signed a patent cross-licensing agreement which allows Lenovo and Motorola branded devices to come pre-loaded with Microsoft’s productivity apps such as Skype, Microsoft Office, and One Drive.

Recently, a report from TechDroid revealed that the upcoming mobile, Moto M will apparently run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with the model name of XT1662. Since the Lenovo-Microsoft agreement, the upcoming mobiles from Lenovo will come pre-loaded with Microsoft apps and Moto M could be the first smartphone to offer such apps.

The Moto M smartphone is expected to come somewhere in the screen sizes of 4.7- to 5.5-inch. Based on this, the smartphone might come in a couple of variants such as Moto M with 5-inch, Moto M Mini with 4.6-inch, and Moto M Plus with 5.5-inch. The report further added that the smartphone will be featured with full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display.

The chipset of the smartphone is rumored to be a MediaTek chip clocked at 2.1GHz, while there’s no confirmed word on it. On the memory front, the device is expected to feature a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM. The cameras on the device will comprise of a 16MP sensor at the rear and an 8MP snapper at front. The device will get its power from a 3000mAh battery.

Lenovo has recently launched some really good smartphones such as the Moto E3, E3 Power, Moto Z, Z Force and Z Play, Moto G4, G4 Plus and G4 Play to name a few.

The upcoming mobile, Moto M is expected to be released shortly in Asian markets for now. The smartphone is assumed to be a budget mobile that is also ideal for mid-range consumers. And those who are in search of a high-end android experience will go for the Moto Z series of smartphones from Motorola.
