Meizu’s Legent Leaked. Sketches Hint a Sliding Camera

Chinese smartphone maker, Meizu is rumored to introduce a concept smartphone next year. While various rumors and leaks had offered a glimpse of Meizu’s concept phone, a brand new leak has revealed some key features of the upcoming mobile. Meizu seems to be working on a new flagship device, called as Meizu Legent. The details of the alleged smartphone have appeared on the internet via leaked sketches.

The leaked sketches of the Meizu Legent were originally received from a Weibo post. It revealed that the device will feature sharp corners and there is no front facing camera is available on the device. Instead, it offers a rear camera module which can be pop up and placed to the front side of the device which faces the user. Using such camera setup, the Meizu Legent has managed to sport the lowest use of bezels on the front panel.

Besides the camera, other features of the smartphone are expected to comprise a dedicated fingerprint scanner at the rear panel. Else, the company might offer fingerprint sensor at the home button at the front as well as at the rear panel.

The new Meizu mobile is expected to feature a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display. It will be powered by Samsung Exynos 8893 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. For The handset will come in two variants based on storage- 64GB and 128GB. The rear camera is expected to feature 16MP resolution. The smartphone will run on Flyme 6 OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It will boast a 3400mAh battery.

Meizu is also rumored to be working on its M5s smartphone which recently cleared China’s TENNA and 3C certifications. The Meizu M5s will feature a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. It will be equipped with a 1.3GHz octa-core processor and will come in 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB internal storage variants.

The Meizu M5s will offer a 13MP primary rear camera with a 5MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. The handset will measure dimensions at 148.2×72.53×8.4mm and weigh 138 grams. It will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and will be backed by a 2930mAh battery.
