Incredible MIUI 8 Features
Here is a look at top new features of Xiaomi MIUI 8. We have seen the visual changes that are coming in the version. One of the biggest changes can be seen in the notification drawer wherein a consolidated list and weather panel at the top changes color and animation according to the weather. A color changing status bar and animation in the apps is also incorporated across the UI.
Dual Apps:
Dual Apps allows you to have two instances of the same app running on the Smartphone. For instance, users can now have two WhatsApp accounts or two Facebook accounts on the same device.
Second Space:
With second space, users can enable two Smartphone instances on the same device. Dual spaces lets you have two different workspaces on a single device. Every work-space will have its own set of apps, customization, and image gallery. Using a different lock-screen password or fingerprint, users can set up two entirely different home screens with separate user data and independent storage. Coolpad Max has a similar feature.
The Caller ID Feature:
The caller Id Feature will now show you who is calling. It will have the contact details of popular businesses so you can call them even if you don’t know their numbers. Same is the concept with messages. You can now identify contacts with unknown numbers. If the message comes from a business, you can see the user friendly brand name instead of an indecipherable string of letters.
Mi Cloud Photo Sync –
It keeps low resolution images locally and uploads the original to the cloud.
Video Editing Option –
The OS has become smarter with the Video editing feature that will let the users take a screenshot of an entire / multiple page, trim videos easily and add video effects and scrolling screenshots.
Quick ball –
You will see a hovering circle button on the side of the screen at all times to have easy access to shortcuts.
Users in India will also get ringtones from Hungama (that are free for now). Hindi T9 prediction will be available.
