Xiaomi to Launch Mi Max 2 in May with 5000mAh Battery

Xiaomi is reportedly working on the successor to its phablet Mi Max. Last year, Xiaomi has released the 6.44-inch phablet in China and it later arrived India in June. Now, the latest report suggests that the company is working on the Mi Max 2 smartphone which is expected to launch in May this year.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was spotted by AndroidPure via Weibo which has revealed the key specifications of the supposed smartphone. If the report is believed, the Mi Max 2 will offer a 6.44-inch Display. The phablet will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As of now, it is not cleared whether the expandable storage option will be available on the device.

The Mi Max 2 handset will offer a massive 5000mAh battery with fast charging support. Besides this, nothing about the alleged Mi Max 2 phablet is known yet. However, the device is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS based on the company’s own MIUI 9 skin. As the report is not received from any trusted source, it is advised that the Weibo post might have taken with a pinch of salt.
