Xiaomi is Expected to Launch Redmi 4 Series Smartphones on March 20

Xiaomi India has started sending out the press invites for an event in New Delhi on March 20 where the Chinese OEM is likely to launch as many as four smartphones in India. As seen in the invite, there is an emphasis on ‘A’ and ‘4’ symbols which hint that the Xiaomi Redmi 4, Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, Xiaomi Redmi 4X, and Xiaomi Redmi 4A might get launch in India.

Xiaomi has released the Redmi 4, Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and Xiaomi Redmi 4A back in November in China for a price of CNY 699 (roughly Rs 6,900), CNY 899 (roughly Rs 8,900), and CNY 499 (roughly Rs 4,950) respectively. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi 4X smartphone was launched in February this year in two variants- 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage for a price of CNY 699 (roughly Rs 6,950) and 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage model priced at CNY 899 (roughly Rs 8,500). All the four smartphones come pre-installed with MIUI 8 powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

Xiaomi’s event will be hosted by Manu Jain, VP and MD at Xiaomi India on March 20 with Product Lead Jai Mani.

To recall, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixel) display. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. For photography, there is a 13MP primary rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera on the device. A 4100mAh battery completes the package.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime features a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The other specifications of the handset match with the Redmi 4 smartphone.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is a budget mobile and does not flaunt a fingerprint sensor at the rear panel. It features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. Under its hood, there is a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. On the camera front, it offers a 13MP primary rear camera alongside a 5MP front snapper. It packs a 3120mAh battery.

Lastly, the Xiaomi Redmi 4X flaunts a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. It is a 4G VoLTE mobile and packs a 4100mAh battery. The photography on the device is possible with its 13MP primary rear camera and a 5MP selfie snapper.
