Upcoming Nokia Smartphones to Flaunt Zeiss Optics

Be prepared to experience a different world with an improved camera as Nokia brand licensee HMD Global and Zeiss made a major announcement regarding a strategic partnership for optics on Nokia smartphones.

These two have joined hands with the objective to boost the imaging experience on the upcoming Nokia smartphones. With this deal, one recalls the partnership of Nokia and Zeiss that started in 2005 that enabled them to sell as many as 100 million smartphones.

It is being confirmed that this partnership will see the deep integration of Zeiss technology in terms of optics, software and an improved imaging experience on Nokia smartphones. However, there has been no announcement about the timeline for the first smartphone with Zeiss optics or any other technology.

Upcoming Nokia Smartphones to Flaunt Zeiss Optics

Nokia and Zeiss have a long-standing relationship with the partnership beginning way back in 2005. The proof of this rock solid association is that the smartphones like the age-old Nokia N90, Nokia N73, Nokia 6500 Slide, Nokia N82, Nokia 808 PureView, and more featured Zeiss optics.

The new partnership with HMD Global will mainly concentrate on the Nokia smartphones. The announcement does not ignore the introduction of a dual camera setup that is in trend these days.

The recent leaks declare that the upcoming rumoured Nokia 7 and Nokia 8 will both sport Carl Zeiss lenses with dual camera. This setup was absent in Nokia’s previous releases. It is also confirmed that Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 did not show up with Carl Zeiss lenses. But future devices can have it on board.

HMD Global hopes to rekindle the Zeiss imaging experience on Nokia smartphone.

Arto Nummela, CEO, HMD Global has stated that the collaboration with Zeiss was an important part to always deliver the very best experience for their customers. As the fans want more than a great smartphone camera and a complete imaging experience that doesn’t just set the standard but can redefine it. Together with Zeiss, they are co-developing imaging excellence for all.

Along with the announcement, the Zeiss Camera handle on Instagram has also hinted at the new development of the dual camera setup. During a conference call, the President of HMD Global, Florian Seiche has revealed that both the companies are immensely interested in the prospect of dual cameras.

Seiche added that after paying heed to consumers’ needs it is definitely considered that dual camera is an interesting feature. But as the new partnership with Zeiss has begun with a lot of excitement, the announcement regarding future products will soon be made.

This news is pretty exciting for all Nokia fans who will now eagerly wait for the future products with new developments.
