The attachment is ideal to get fit onto watch brands like Hublot, Rolex, and Tag Heuer. It can track everything from steps, calories, distance, and sleep monitoring.
The Smart Buckle comes with an IP57 waterproof rating which ensures the survival even after a submersion of up to 1m for 30 minutes. The buckle can be fitted onto the wrist for about a week.
Coming to the price, the company is offering this cool gadget with starting price at $39 (roughly Rs 2,500) as the early bird perks, whereas its retail price is $99.99 (roughly Rs 6,400). The Smart Buckle is ideal for those who wish to get a premium look smartwatch below Rs 5000.
The activities are been tracked using its companion app which syncs the data with Apple Health and Google Fit apps. However, the smart attachment is just to encourage those people who wanted to turn their regular watch into a smart one. By doing this, the users have the freedom to choose their preferred watch design and brand and convert it to smartwatch later on using the buckle.
The buckle is hidden behind the strap when worn around the wrist. But, the accuracy of the tracking is not unsure as we didn’t get a chance to get our hands on it as of now. The buckle measures dimensions at 23x42x8mm.
The Smart Buckle is available via a crowd funding platform, so the users are advised to exercise some cautious before buying it. The listing mentions that the Smart Buckle is available for shipping anywhere in the world.
