Samsung Unveiled the Galaxy J7 Prime and J5 Prime in India: Price, Specifications, Features and More

Samsung has launched its Galaxy J7 Prime and J5 Prime smartphones in India. The Galaxy J7 Prime smartphone is now available at a price tag of Rs 18,790, while the Galaxy J5 Prime will hit shelves by the September-end and is priced at Rs 14,790. The newly launched J7 Prime is an upgraded edition of Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016).

Both the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and J5 Prime are been highlighted with S Power Planning and S Secure apps. The S Power is an essential battery saving feature which reserves some power for calls and extends its battery life when it is running low on juice. The S Secure feature protects the applications, Wi-Fi and creates secure folders for images and apps.

These smartphones are offered with a Vodafone bundled data offer. The bundled data offer will provide users 9GB of free data when paid for 1GB of data for over three months.

Coming to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device gets its power from Exynos 7870 1.65GHz octa-core processor paired with a 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The expandable storage is available up to 256GB via microSD cards.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime supports dual-SIM (micro-SIM) and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. The device offers a 13MP primary rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. An 8MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture is present on the front-panel of Galaxy J7 Prime.

On connectivity, the Galaxy J7 Prime includes 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB with OTG feature, and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone gets its power from a 3300mAh battery. The 4G VOLTE phone is based on the full metal unibody design similar to the other smartphones in its product lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime is a slightly smaller package of J7 Prime.  The phone offers a 5-inch HD (720×1080 pixels) display which is powered by an Exynos 1.4GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. On the camera front, the Galaxy J5 Prime has a 13MP primary rear camera along with a 5MP front shooter. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and is backed by a 2400mAh battery.
