The new smartwatch will come with features such IP68 water resistance, LTE connectivity, mobile payments, and built-in GPS similar to the new gen smartphones. The company has expanded the Gear collection.

Coming to specifications, the Samsung Gear S3 features a 1.3-inch (360×360 pixels) Super AMOLED display along with the Always-On mode. Under the hood, there is an Exynos7270 dual 1.0GHz processor paired with 768MB of RAM and 4GB on onboard storage. Sensors on the device include barometer, speedometer, GPS, heart rate sensor, and altimeter. The device runs on Tizen OS.

The IP68 certification standard assures that the Gear S3 is a premium budget smartwatch that could work regardless of the weather conditions. The smartwatch features Corning Gorilla Glass SR which is the special glass designed for wearable devices which provide scratch resistance, hardiness, and clear display.

The Gear S3 comes with 4G LTE connectivity which enables the user to use their smartwatch device to make phone calls.
