Reliance Jio Prime Vs Vodafone Vs Airtel Vs Idea Vs BSNL: Internet Data Plans Compared

The deadline for the subscription of Reliance Jio Prime membership has been recently extended to April 15 by the company. The company has claimed that it already have 72 million Prime members to its network. Jio wants to attract more customers by offering Summer Surprise scheme which offers another 3 months of free mobile internet data and other services extension when a user recharge with Rs 99 for Prime membership as well as Rs 303 Plan.

While the Jio Prime offerings are quite alluring, some users are looking for a better value for money deal. The other telcos are trying hard to beat Reliance Jio by offering competitive plans within the sub-Rs 300 price bracket. Vodafone, BSNL, Idea, and Airtel have also announced their competitive internet and voice calling plans. So here we have the ultimate comparison of the internet data plans of Reliance Jio, Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone, and Idea.

Reliance Jio

The Reliance Jio users are required to pay for the Prime membership fee of Rs 99 to enjoy the freebies via Summer Surprise offer. Additionally, the users must have to recharge with Rs 303 plan to avail the free services extension offer. The users will get the benefits similar to the Happy New Year offer. Furthermore, the full bouquet of Jio media services will be open for the users for one year. The voice calling will be free as well. However, the users will have to deal with a FUP limit of 1GB per day which translates to 30GB of data for a month. After the FUP limit, users will get up to 128kbps speed until the next day starts. It is worth mention that, the free voice calling facility is available only on 4G VoLTE mobiles.

Vodafone

Vodafone has offered a recharge pack which offers 28GB of mobile internet data and unlimited free calling for Rs 346. It is a worth mention that the users will get only 1GB of data per day and the usage post-1GB data cap will be chargeable to the user.

Also, there is a new offer called Vodafone Delights which offers 24GB of free data to users in a 3-month cycle. The free 24GB data will be given to the user in a period of 3 months i.e. 8GB per month. This offer is available for Vodafone post-paid users only.

Airtel

Airtel has a prepaid recharge plan of Rs 345 which offers 1GB of 4G data per day and free local and STD calls. However, the pack has terms and conditions for data usage. The users can use 500MB of data during the day and 500MB during night.

Airtel has a Surprise offer which is giving 30GB of free data for 3 months to its post-paid users and users can use 10GB of free data in a month.

BSNL

The state-owned telco, BSNL has also offered a new plan for Rs 339 which offers 2GB of 3G data per day along with unlimited calling within its network. The users are required to recharge with Combo STV of Rs 339 to avail this offer.

BSNL is also offering 10GB of data per day for its new wireline broadband users. Under this offer, the users will 10GB of data per day which translates 300GB of data in a month for Rs 249. The plan also includes unlimited voice calling in the night during 9 PM to 7 AM and full-day on Sundays.

Idea Cellular

Idea Cellular has offered some tariff plans to compete with Reliance Jio’s Prime membership. It has added some benefits in its Rs 348 plan. The telco is now offering 1GB of 4G data usage per day and unlimited voice calling. The plan is available for the users having 4G mobiles.

Meanwhile, there is a free voice calling and data combo plan for Rs 148. Under this plan, users get free local and STD calls on its own network across India and 50MB of data for 28 days. The users having 4G mobiles will get 300MB of data on the same tariff.
