Panasonic Launches Eluga Pulse, Pulse X Smartphones in India

Panasonic has added two smartphones in its Eluga range of smartphones in India. The company has released the Panasonic Eluga Pulse and Eluga Pulse X smartphone in the country for a price tag of Rs 9,690 and Rs 10,990 respectively. Both the devices run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

Coming to the specifications, the Panasonic Eluga Pulse features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with Asahi Dragon Trail Glass protection on top. The smartphone is equipped with a 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and external storage up to 128GB via microSD card.

On the camera front, the Eluga Pulse offers a 13MP primary rear camera with flash. Also, the device has a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The connectivity option on the device includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. The handset packs a 2200mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Panasonic Eluga Pulse X is a larger variant of the Eluga Pulse smartphone. The device boasts a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with Asahi Dragon Trail Glass protection. The device is powered by a 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and expandable storage of up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Panasonic Eluga Pulse X offers a 13MP primary rear camera with the flash module and a 5MP selfie snapper at the front. The phone is juiced up with a 3000mAh battery which is slightly bigger than Eluga Pulse. The connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth.

Looking at the price and specifications, the Panasonic Eluga Pulse and Eluga Pulse X will compete with the other players in the budget category such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone comes in three variants with starting price of Rs 9,999 for the base model. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

If compared the Eluga Pulse smartphones with Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, then the Redmi Note 4 is surely the great option one could think about.
