Oppo is about to launch its new selfie-focussed smartphone called the Oppo F5 on October 26. Several reports were previously suggesting that the phone will be officially launched in the Philippines on the mentioned date; however, the company has now confirmed that it will launch the phone in the other global markets including India.
Oppo will release the F5 smartphone in India, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand. In addition, the company has revealed some key details of the upcoming Oppo mobile ahead of the official launch.
According to this, the Oppo F5 will be a bezel-less smartphone with Full HD+ (1440×2880 pixels) display and an 18:9 ratio. It’s worth mentioning that it will be the first Oppo mobile to come with such display specifications. The company further stated that like the other F-series smartphones, the Oppo F5 will also be a selfie-focused device.
Based on the rumours and leaks that have surfaced earlier, the Oppo F5 will come with advanced Beauty Recognition technology that will enhance the selfies using artificial intelligence. Using the AI technology, the handset can distinguish different aspects like skin tone, gender, age, and skin type of the user and offer the beautify features accordingly.
Furthermore, the Oppo F5 is likely to come equipped with dual camera setup at the front. Oppo is expected to pack two 16MP sensors on the selfie shooter module of the device. On the rear panel, the phone is likely to have a 20MP sensor with a flash module.
The earlier leaks suggested that the handset will feature a 6-inch full HD+ display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The handset will pack a 4000mAh battery which will ensure the longer usage while on the go.
The leaks and rumours also detailed the design aspects of the upcoming Oppo mobile. Based on this, the phone will flaunt a metallic body design with the minimal bezel on the sides. The phone will be offered in Rose Gold and Gold colour options. The handset will come with rounded corners. The volume rockers will be present on the left edge, while the power button will reside on the right.
