The Finnish Company, HMD Global is believed to be secretly working on a new premium smartphone. The company has exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute Nokia-branded devices. The upcoming mobile is expected to be the Nokia 9 smartphone which will pack a bunch of top-of-the-line features such as dual-camera, an iris scanner, water-and-dust resistance, Carl Zeiss lenses, and Nokia OZO audio technology.
As per a report from Nokia Power User (NPU), the upcoming Nokia 9 handset will be premium Android mobile and it will feature its OZO audio system. The ‘OZO’ is a software-based technology which will offer 3D audio or spatial sound to any camera or smartphone. The new 3D audio tech in upcoming Nokia mobiles will come with two or three microphones set up for the crystal clear audio recording.
Moreover, the Nokia 9 will offer a 22MP dual-camera module with Carl Zeiss lenses on the rear. Additionally, there is a 12MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Also, the handset is expected to come with an Iris scanner which is seen in the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

Coming to the specifications, the Nokia 9 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) OLED display. It will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB of internal storage, fingerprint scanner, a 3800mAh battery with Quick Charging 4.0 technology, and the IP68 water-and-dust resistance. The device will run on Android 7.1.2 OS.
Though HMD Global has been keeping the plans about its upcoming mobiles, the specifications about the Nokia 9 has been waved over. If the rumours are to be believed, the Nokia 9 could be a sensational smartphone which will compete with the other flagship devices in the upper segment of the smartphone space.
Presently, there is no information about the release of the Nokia 9 smartphone is received; however, it is expected to get launched in the second-half of the year.
During an event at the Mobile World Congress, HMD Global had announced a set of new smartphones including Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6. Here, the company also released the refreshed version of Nokia 3310 feature phone. All the four Nokia mobiles are expected to come in India sometime in May or June.
