The Chinese mobile phone maker, Huawei is all set to launch the much-awaited flagship smartphone Huawei P9 in India on August 17. Media invites has been sent out for an event where it will likely to unveil Huawei P9. From the event teasers that have sent to media by Huawei, it is cleared that there’s something exiting to come on August 17.
The phone has launched in China back in April, 2016 with the dual lens camera developed in collaboration with Leica who is the legendary camera maker from Germany. The USP of Huawei P9 is its camera. The phone has two 12 megapixel sensors in which one capture light in color and the other captures in monochrome. The dual lenses are capable for an aperture of f/2.2. The front camera provided with the phone is having an 8 mega-pixel resolution.

Talking about the specifications, Huawei P9 has a 5.2-inch full-HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The device runs on an Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Emotion UI 4.1 on top of it. The device is backed with a 3000mAH battery and has a USB-C port for charging purpose. Storage & Connectivity
The smartphone is powered by their own Hi-Silicon Kirin 955 octa-core processor and will be offered with variants of 3GB of RAM+32GB inbuilt storage and 4GB of RAM+64GB of storage. The storage capacity of the phone can be expanded up to 256GB in size using microSD Cards. There are various connectivity options available on this phone such as 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-FI, GPS, USB Type-C and NFC.
Camera
The camera incorporated with this phone dominates the other hardware specifications. The pricing for Huawei P9 3GB of RAM+32GB storage variant has priced at EUR 599 (Roughly RS. 45,400) and the 4GB of RAM+64GB storage variant has priced at EUR 649 (Roughly Rs. 49,200).
The phone is just 7mm in thickness and weights 144 grams. It will be available in both single SIM and Dual SIM variants. And in Indian market, we are likely to get the Dual SIM smartphone version.
