Moto Z Play leaked Images Unveils the Glass Back Panel

Motorola, a Lenovo-owned smartphone company announced its Moto Z series with Moto Z and Moto Z Force back in June, this year. And the company is about to announce yet another smartphone named as ‘Moto Z Play’ in its line-up. Lenovo hasn’t put a word about its upcoming smartphone, but the internet is already surfaced with the rumors and leaks of Moto Z Play.

All About Moto Z Play

The design of Z Play was been spotted on GSM Arena stating that the device will come in two different color variants. The design of the new smartphone seems very similar to the other phones in Moto Z series followed by Moto Z and Moto Z Force. But the only noticeable difference is at the back of Moto Z Play. The smartphone will feature a glass back panel and not a metal panel like most of the latest flagship devices.

Apart from a sleek glass design, the smartphone also sports a fresh spiral pattern to differentiate it from the other members of its family. According to the leaked images, the device has a physical home button which is likely to offer a fingerprint scanner as well. The rumors spread earlier suggested that the smartphone will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) AMOLED display, Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, an Adreno 506 GPU and will run on an Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

For camera functions, the Moto Z Play will have a 16MP primary rear camera with dual LED flash along with a 5MP front camera. There are magnetic connectors present on the back panel of a device for Moto Mods.

Based on several reports, the upcoming Moto Z Play has cleared the Chinese regulatory authority certification, TENNA. The Z Play is expected to feature both 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. The smartphone will have the same dimension of Moto Z Force at 155.9×75.8x7mm, but the huge camera hump on the back will add further thickness in it.
