Micromax Evok Note, Evok Power To Get Launched on April 12

The year 2016 was quite challenging for Micromax and the company is said to recapture the market share this year from the Chinese OEM’s. The domestic smartphone maker has recently launched a flagship device called as the Micromax Dual 5 and a budget 4G VoLTE mobile called Micromax Bharat 2 in India.

In the latest development, Micromax is expected to launch two smartphones in its Evok series- the Evok Note and Evok Power. The live product packaging image of the Micromax Evok Note was previously leaked online. The new mid-range smartphone, the Evok NOTE will compete with Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 in India. The handset is expected to flaunt a metal unibody design, 4G VoLTE support, and fingerprint scanner at the front panel.

Micromax is said to have partnered with Flipkart which is the leading e-commerce store in India for the sale of the Evok Note and Evok Power. With these two devices, Micromax will target the online segment for the first time. The company has a very strong offline presence in the country and it is expected to grab the online territory with the new Evok series.

The Micromax Evok Note will be powered by an octa-core processor coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery. On the camera front, the handset will have a 13MP primary rear camera with PDAF and a 5MP front camera for video calls and selfies.

The Micromax Evok Note features a 5.5-inch full-Hd (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display covered under a 2.5D glass. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and has 32GB of internal storage. Additionally, the device features Micromax’s Secure Vault feature which let users hide or encrypt their applications, videos, photos, and documents. Also, users can lock/unlock these functions with their fingerprint.

Micromax has recently unveiled a budget mobile called the Bharat 2 in India for a price of Rs 3,499. The latest mobile offers a 4-inch (480×800 pixels) WVGA display. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC9832 quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and option to expand further storage via microSD card slot up to 32GB. It is a dual-SIM smartphone running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

For photography, there is a 2MP primary rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP selfie snapper at the front. It has a 1300mAh battery.
