Meizu Pro 6s Launched: an iPhone with a Deca-core processor?

Meizu mobiles has announced the Meizu Pro 6s at an event in China. It is quite similar to its predecessor Meizu Pro 6 which itself possessed an undeniable similarity to the iPhone. The Pro 6 even features a 3D Touch display. Although the smartphone is a carbon copy of its base variant, with respect to design, but comes with upgrades in the camera and battery life. The Meizu Pro 6s will be available in Grey, Gold, Silver, and Rose Gold colour variants. Dimensions of the Meizu Pro 6s measure at 147.7×70.8×7.3mm, and weighs 163 grams.

Specifications

Coming to the design, the Meizu Pro 6s sports an aluminum body with a curve-edge and identical antenna bands design. It offers a 5.2-inch Super Amoled full-HD screen with 1080×1920 pixels resolution display. It offers a pixel density of 423ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The phone runs a deca-core Helio X25 processor under the hood with Mali-T880MP4 GPU and 4 GB of RAM. It features a 5 MP front camera and an upgraded 12 MP rear camera with IMX386 sensor & ƒ / 2.0 aperture which is lesser than the previous model.

The smaller aperture and 4-axis OIS will help the new device achieve brighter images and less blurry photos. The phone however retains the 10-LED dual-tone ring flash, phase detection and laser-autofocus features similar to its predecessor.

You can also see an elevated battery up to 3060mAh from the 2560mAh. Owing to this there came along a problem of slight weight gain. The smartphone supports fast charging with mCharge 3.0.

The home button of the smartphone doubles up as a fingerprint sensor. It also comes with a 3D Press functionality as seen on the base variant. The 3D Press feature is akin to the 3D Touch pressure sensitive display technology which is used in the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.

The connectivity options for the Meizu Pro 6 comes with the support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, A-GPS, and USB Type-C connectivity.
