LG K7 Now Comes with Special Features for Visually Impaired in India

LG launched the K7 smartphone earlier this year in India. The company has reintroduced the K7 smartphone with some additional interesting features for visually impaired users. The company had presented the K7 as the first smartphone to flag off the K series, while the LG K7 LTE variant of the series was the first smartphone that was manufactured in India. With these special features, the LG K7 could be the best mobile below Rs.10,000.

The LG K7 has retained its price at Rs 9,500 but the smartphone is updated with new features such as Text to screen (TTS), screen reading software (Talkback) and language pack support. The smartphone will be a feature with inbuilt apps like Voice Reader, GPS essential, Cozy Daisy book reader (3 books preloaded), eReader, Koto Magnifier, and Play magazine app.

The new LG K7 smartphone supports by default call and text voice reading function. The device will have two word and two PDF books pre-loaded on it. The company has distributed the updated LG K7 units to visually impaired people at Samajik Adhikarita Shivir in Gujarat, where the birthday celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken place.

The new LG K7 smartphone features the same specification as its previous version. The smartphone sports a 5-inch touchscreen (480×854 pixels) display which is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM, and 8GB of inbuilt storage space. The device comes in 3G and 4G LTE supporting variants. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.

The device includes a 5MP primary rear camera along with a 5MP front camera and is backed by a 2125mAh battery. The display of LG K7 includes a 2.5D Arc Glass design with features like Gesture Interval shot, Gesture shot, Tap and shot functions for photography. The device measures dimensions at 143×72.5×8.9mm and comes in Titan, Gold, and White color option.

The refresh version of LG K7 will compete with other mobiles below Rs. 10,000 segment such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Coolpad Note 3, Samsung Galaxy On5, to name a few. The market for mobiles below Rs. 10,000 is highly aggressive and hence companies are trying to offer the best value for money to customers.
