The Chinese internet information and technology firm, LeEco has appointed its Chairman and CEO, Jia Yueting as the Chairman of another Chinese OEM, Coolpad, back in August this year. LeEco holds the largest amount of shares of Coolpad with 28.9 percent stake. After this strategic move, both companies had adopted a dual-brand strategy which will help them to co-exist and target their products in the different market segment.
In August, the two companies had launched their first co-developed smartphone, named as the Coo1 Dual in China. And now, an upcoming mobile from Coolpad and LeEco has been spotted on the Chinese certification site, TENNA dubbed as the Cool C107.
According to the TENNA listing, the Cool C107 will feature a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. Under the hood, there will be an octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz with 3GB of RAM. The device will offer a 32GB of internal storage. It will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS backed by a 4000mAh battery.
The listing mentioned that the upcoming mobile, Cool C107 will feature a full metal unibody design. For photography, there will be a 13MP primary rear camera with an 8MP front-facing camera. The image of the Cool C107 smartphone on the listing reveals that it will be offered in Gold and Silver color options.
On the connectivity front, the Cool C107 will include dual-SIM, 4G LTE, micro-USB port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The upcoming mobile will measure dimensions at 152.74.8×8.2mm and will weigh at 162 grams.
To remind, the Cool1 Dual smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with a metal unibody design. The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 510 GPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage.
The Cool1 Dual features dual 13MP primary rear camera with PDAF, dual-tone LED flash, and f/2.0 aperture. The front-facing camera includes an 8MP sensor with a f/2.2 aperture for video calling and selfies. The smartphone packs a 4060mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support. It also sports a dedicated fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with LeEco’s customized EUI 5.6 on top.
