Apple has finally launched its new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus (Product) RED Editions in India. This special edition will feature the Apple smartphones in a red colour variant. Moreover, the smartphones will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options. The price for these smartphones will start at Rs. 67,940 and will start being available from April 30.
Coming to the price, iPhone 8 (Product) RED Edition 64GB variant comes with a price tag of Rs. 67, 940. The 128GB variant is priced at Rs. 81,500. On the other hand, the iPhone 8 Plus (Product) RED Edition 64GB variant price starts from Rs. 77,560. And the 256GB of the plus variant is priced at Rs. 91,110.
Apple is known for launching its (PRODUCT) RED devices. Even this year Apple has launched two smartphones as a part of its partnership with RED since 2006. RED is an organisation that works for the betterment of HIV/AIDS patients in Africa. Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, the UK and the US were among the first countries to receive the RED Edition smartphones.
A part of the proceeds generated from the sale of these smartphones will go to the Global Fund HIV/AIDS grants. This will include testing, counselling, treatment and prevention programmes which primarily focuses on eliminating the transmission of the virus from mothers to their babies.

Furthermore, these special variants will retain the specifications like the other variants. The smartphones will be powered by Apple’s very own A11 Bionic chip and will run on iOS 11. One of the main highlights of these smartphones is that they support the fast charging technology. Additionally, these latest RED Edition Apple smartphones feature a rear panel with sleek Red colour finish with a matching aluminium band. And, the front panel sports a sleek black front.
