IFA 2016 Preview: Here is What to Expect from Major Tech Giants

Europe’s largest technology trade show, IFA is all set to officially start from tomorrow September 2 in Berlin, Germany. However, tech companies have started holding press conferences to take up the lead in the event while some already started unveiling their products. The event is usually dominated by consumer electronics like TVs, smartphones, laptops, and tablets every year. Last year the show also started witnessing wearable devices.

The event is scheduled to begin on September 2 from 10am-6pm to September 7, 2016, in Berlin. Let us have the honor to bring you the most exciting announcements which are anticipated.

Samsung:

The Korean tech giant has introduced the Samsung Gear S3 which the successor of last year’s Gear S2 smartwatch that was launched in IFA. The company might also unveil Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 in their event.

Sony:

Sony is expected to introduce its X series devices at IFA this year. The company is likely to unveil the Xperia X Compact and Xperia XZ smartphones here. The flagship devices from Sony’s X series will primarily focus on performance, design and water/dust resistance.

Lenovo/Motorola:

The Chinese smartphone maker, Lenovo has much to offer this year at IFA. The company is expected to release new smartphones, tablets, and notebooks. The company has recently unveiled Yoga Tab 3 Plus YogaBook and Yoga 910 notebook. Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched Moto Z Play and Moto Mods in an event at IFA.

LG:

LG has confirmed the launch of its V20 smartphone at San Francisco leaving many wondering why the smartphone is not coming to IFA. But the rumors hints that the company might launch LG Flex 3 in Berlin.

Asus:

Asus has unveiled it’s ZenWatch 3 and ZenPad 3S 10 in IFA. However, the company has partnered up with Intel for the smartphone lineup of ZenFone 2. Considering this, a wild guess of few more ZenFones can be made.

HTC:

The HTC has announced the One A9s at IFA. Its predecessor HTC A9 was launched in 2015 and it was significantly compared with Apple’s iPhone 6s in terms of design.

Huawei:

Chinese mobile company, Huawei has announced Nova and Nova Plus smartphones. The company has planned to defy expectations with the Nova series smartphones.

ZTE:

The Chinese smartphone maker, ZTE is expected to announce Axon 7 Mini smartphone at IFA this year.
