Honor V9 with Dual-Rear Camera, 4GB RAM Launching on February 21

The Honor V9 smartphone has recently appeared on Chinese certification site, TENNA. It was the first time we heard about this device. As per the leaks, the Honor V9 smartphone will come in two RAM variants of 4GB and 6GB. Now, a new teaser has been posted on Weibo stating that the Honor V9 will be launched on February 21. The Honor V9 is believed to be priced at Yuan 2699 (roughly Rs 26,500).

The previous rumours were suggesting that the Honor V9 smartphone could get launched alongside the Honor 8 Lite at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017 trade show. Based on the TENNA listing, the Honor V9 seems to offer a metal unibody design with rounded corners. On the rear, there is a dual camera module accompanied by LED flash and a dedicated fingerprint scanner. The right side of the device includes the power and volume rocker buttons, whereas the left side sports the SIM card and microSD card slot. The absence of physical home button let the device to flaunt a slightly low bezel-like appearance.

Talking about the specifications, the Honor V9 offers a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display. It will have a Kirin 960 octa-core chipset with a clock speed of 2.4GHz equipped on it. The initial assumptions are hinting at two variants of Honor V9- 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

On the camera front, the Honor V9 offers 12MP+2MP dual camera module at the rear to allow high quality, DSLR-like photographs. The front facing camera sensor will have an 8MP resolution. The device will be backed by a 3900mAh battery. It is likely to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS wrapped under Huawei’s Emotion UI 5.0.

To recall, the Honor V8 was launched back in May last year and it was a China-specific smartphone. As the successor, the Honor V9 could get launched in other markets as well. The predecessor Honor V8 features a 5.7-inch display with options to go for the full-HD or QHD models. Both models flaunt the 2.5D glass on top. Under the hood, there is a top-notch Kirin 950 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The connectivity options include dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, GPS, 4G LTE, and Bluetooth. The device packs a 3500mAh battery and also has a fingerprint scanner.
