Google May Launch a New 7-Inch Huawei-Made Tablet This Year

The Android tablets available in current scenario have typically been a hit or miss, while the Nexus 7 has made its place in the overcrowded market, especially with the 2013 model. Perhaps, last year’s Pixel C tablet from Google is considered as one of the best android tablet ever made. And Google is now collaborating with Huawei to launch a new 7-inch tablet before the end of this year.

A reputable tipster Evan Blass has recently posted on twitter about the upcoming Google tablet. If the statement of tipster is believed, the search giant, Google is teaming with Huawei to manufacture 7-inch tablets with 4GB of RAM before the end of this year.

According to Evan Blass, the partnership of Google and Huawei is taken forward for one more year, after the release of Nexus 6P phablet last year. An earlier rumor claimed that Huawei was working on new Nexus hardware. Blass has an excellent reputation for smartphone tips, predictions of phone specifications such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Google Nexus 6P.

Google has its Nexus phablet lineup including the Nexus 6P which is built by Huawei. Hence, the idea behind Huawei’s move on manufacturing a tablet for Google is not new. Furthermore, Google had released a Nexus tablet lineup with Nexus 9 in 2014. In September 2015, Google had launched its Pixel C tablet featuring a 10-inch screen.

Google recently abandoned its Nexus series with the launch of Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. These smartphones are expected to get released on October 4. Google Pixel and Pixel XL will feature 5 and 5.5-inch display respectively.

The upcoming tablet from Google has several possibilities to release it with Pixel branding. On the other hand, Huawei recently trademarked a name ‘Huawei 7P’. So the possibilities of an upcoming tablet with the Huawei-brand name can’t be ignored. Although, these are just some wild guesses that are surfacing on the internet. Google hasn’t put a word about the name of upcoming tablets as of now.
