Do the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is look-alike of Samsung Galaxy Note 7?

Xiaomi seems to be preparing for the launch of its dual-edge display smartphone along with a robust 6GB of RAM. Leaked images of upcoming Xiaomi smartphone has started surfacing on the internet and is likely to come up with moniker Mi Note 2. Thanks to several leaks, we already got a glimpse of this highly anticipated smartphone. But at the first look, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 looks quite similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7.

According to leaks, the Mi Note 2 device will have a dual-curved front panel, which is the same as Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Mi Note 2 also has a comparable sloped rear cover. More on this, the leaked images are pointing out that the round-shaped Home button will likely to feature a fingerprint scanner. Though we have seen the metal-glass exterior design earlier in Xiaomi Mi 5, the metal-glass design of Mi Note 2 looks quite similar to Note 7’s design.

The renders spotted by a Chinese site, GizmoChina, has revealed the looks of Mi Note 2 with images from multiple angles. There are some images which point out that the upcoming Mi Note 2 will have a dual rear camera just like the one in Redmi Pro.

Coming to the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be featured with a 5.7-inch display powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor and a 3600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The phone might come in two memory variants- 4GB RAM+64GB internal storage priced at CNY 2,499 (approximately Rs. 25,000) and 6GB RAM+128GB internal storage priced at CNY 2,799 (approximately Rs. 28,000). The phone will run on an Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

The high-end variant of Mi Note 2 with 128GB internal storage will have a curved display along with the front paneled fingerprint scanner just like Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Connectivity options will include NFC and 4G support. The device will also expect to offer USB-C and stereo speakers.
