Asus was supposed to release the refreshed Zenfone 4 smartphone during the CES last month, but it introduced the Zenfone AR and the Zenfone Zoom instead. The Asus Zenfone 4 is now expected to be launched sometime in May according to several reports. Furthermore, the Zenfone 4 has now spotted on a benchmarking site along with key features and specifications.
The Asus Zenfone 4 has been appeared on GFXBench, spotted by the Android Soul with a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor equipped on Zenfone 4 as per the benchmark listing. However, most of the flagship devices of this year are expected to come with nothing below than a Snapdragon 835 chipset, considering the Snapdragon 820 is the dated chipset at the moment.
Besides, the Zenfone 4 smartphone features 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. For photography, the device will offer a 21MP primary rear camera and an 8MP selfie shooter. It will run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
Interestingly, Asus names its smartphones similarly with different model numbers for multiple variants. Adding distraction to the puzzle, the Zenfone 4 smartphone was already launched by Asus back in 2014. The Asus Zenfone 4 features a 4-inch display with quite outdated specifications and features in the current state. The Asus Zenfone 4 series is expected to get a reboot this year from which one device was listed recently on the benchmark site. As per the rumours, the company might release a few variants of the Zenfone 4. However, it will be interesting to see how Asus names its upcoming mobiles.
Asus has recently launched its Zenfone 3S Max smartphone in India. The key highlight of the smartphone is its massive 5000mAh battery. It is available at a price of Rs 14,999. The Zenfone 3S Max features a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
