Asus is all set to give a tough competition in the Indian smartphone market. The Taiwanese tech giant has declared war by launching as many as 6 new handsets – Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Zenfone 3 Ultra, and the Zenfone 3 Laser.
Among the various models of Zenfone 3 mobiles, Asus is prioritizing Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, the variant that runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe is priced at Rs 62,999. The price of Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe has surely raised eyebrows as it is the costliest phone in India from Asus. Further, it also proves to be the first in the country to run on the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 processor.

Charming Design & Display
Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is a slim and lightweight phone than most of the other metal-build handsets out there. It sports a matte finish design making which we prefer over mirror finish panels.. One of the major drawback of mirror-finish panels is that it acts as a fingerprint magnet which is very common with recent high-end Samsung Galaxy devices. Unfortunately, the mobile can’t be operated single-handedly as it is slightly wider than others with thick screen bezels on all sides.
Skimming through the basic design, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe has power and volume buttons on the right, three backlit capacitive buttons below the display, a speaker and front-facing camera. At the back, the camera is placed at top-centre position with autofocus sensors and dual-LED flash on either sides. And yes, there is a camera bump. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe features a 5.7-inch Full HD Super Amoled display. A QHD panel could have justified the price tag and the high-end segment placing of the smartphone.
Outstanding Performance & Storage
Nothing much can be said about the performance, however, as it packs one of the world’s most advanced mobile chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 – we guess that the phone runs smoothly without any glitches. To add to the speed the mobile also supports 6GB RAM and 256GB of inbuilt expandable storage which is more than enough for a general user. The handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with its native ZenUI 3.0 on top. The smartphone is backed by a 3000mAh battery, which also supports Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Exceptional Camera Quality
The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe sports 23MP rear camera with PixelMaster technology, Sapphire cover glass, Optical Image Stabilisation, PDAF and more. So, now you can record 4K videos as well. The smartphone also has an 8MP front-facing camera with 85-degree wide angles lenses for beautiful selfies.
Verdict
Since the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is yet to land in India, we cannot jump to any conclusion as of now. But looking at the Rs 62,999 price tag, specifications, features, build and the camera, the smartphone did managed to impress us.
