The Canon PowerShot SX520 HS Point & Shoot Camera is built with versatility in mind and thus incorporates the best features to make it adaptable to both your style of photography and to the moment, thus placing all the creative power in your hands.
Lens
The Canon SX520, with 42x ultra zoom and ultra-wide angle, lets you capture objects from great distances while covering a wide area. With an aperture range of f/3.4 to f6, the camera can take portraits and macros too.
Image and Video Quality
Built with a 16 megapixel CMOS sensor, the PowerShot SX 520 HS is capable of capturing excellent quality pictures that can be enlarged. Movies can be captured instantly at 1080p resolution with the Instant Movie Button.
Performance
Equipped with the DIGIC 4+ imaging processor with iSAPS Technology, the device records and processes images at a faster rate allowing you to capture multiple images in a short span of time. In the high-speed burst mode it can capture up to 10 shots per second. The intelligent IS provides consistently steady shots in every situation.
Display
The camera's 3 inch TFT LCD screen with brightness adjustable to one of five levels, also comes with a Quick-bright LCD feature. With 461,000 dots and 100% coverage, the display delivers excellent quality output.
Exposure Control
The 1 to 1/2000 sec and 15 to 1 sec shutter speed range ensures quick adaptability to all lighting conditions, while ISO 100 to 3200 makes daylight and low light capture a breeze. The camera offers 6 unique images from one shot. The auto mode features 32-scene detection, while manual gives you control of the aperture and shutter speed.
Power
The SX520 HS is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery. The Eco mode assists in saving battery power whenever possible so that you can use the camera for a longer duration.
Flash
With a built-in flash, the camera can capture high-quality images even in low light situations. The flash has a range of 50 cm to 5.5 m on wide and 1.3 m to 3 m on tele. The flash modes offered are auto, On, Off and slow synchro.
Connectivity
Integrated with a mini HDMI and Hi-speed USB port, the camera lets you connect to other supported devices to transfer photos and videos. The device is also compatible with PictBridge and features an audio-video interface as well
