Xiaomi grabbed the entire world’s interest with its Mi MIX smartphone with the bezel-less design when announced in October. The smartphone created buzz for its bezel-less design on three sides. Xiaomi is now rumored to launch a new smartphone. According to latest reports, the company has now developed a smartphone called Mi S which is rumored to feature Snapdragon 821 SoC and 4GB of RAM.
The recent leaks suggest that the Mi S could be a compact device with premium specifications and features. The leaks have revealed the renders and key information about the upcoming Xiaomi mobile. The device has been leaked on Weibo and spotted by AndroidPure.
Looking at the leaked renders of the Xiaomi Mi S, there are noticeable changes in terms of design. The front panel of the device resembles with an affordable Redmi smartphone, whereas the rear panel reminds the flagship Mi 5 smartphone. It also appears to feature a metallic frame, 2.5D curved glass, and curved back panel. The smartphone measures dimensions at 128.3×64.2×8.2mm and weighs 138 grams.
Coming to the specifications, the Xiaomi Mi S is expected to feature a 4.6-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. The device will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is not cleared yet that whether microSD card slot will be there in the device.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi Mi S will offer a 12MP primary rear camera with dual-LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX378 sensor, PDAF, and 4K video capture support. Presently, the same camera sensor is present on the Google Pixel smartphone and we all know the camera quality of the phone. For selfies, there will be a 4MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1080p video recording support.
The Xiaomi Mi S is expected to come with a 2600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It will also have a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button. On the connectivity front, the phone will include 4G LTE, 3G, NFC, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth. As of now, there is no information about the pricing of the Mi S smartphone. However, the quality of the leaked promotional materials is very poor, so the authenticity of the leaks is doubtful.
