Xiaomi has just released its first Android One smartphone in India called as the Xiaomi Mi A1. The company is about to launch its next flagship smartphone called the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 during a launch event in China on September 11. Now, in a recent development, the Chinese OEM could possibly unveil its Xiaomi Mi Note 3 alongside.
Lin Bin who is the Co-Founder of Xiaomi has recently posted the teaser image of the upcoming Xiaomi mobile on his Weibo account. Bin also put a captioned the image mentioning ‘Mi Mix 2’ and ‘a large version of Mi 6’. By doing that, Bin could mean the same launch date for its Mi Note 3 and the Mi Mix 2.
To recall, Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will be a successor to the Mi Note 2 that was released along with the Mi Mix last year. So, there is a high probability that the Mi Mix 2 and Mi Note 3 will be launched on the same day.
Looking at the teaser image, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will come in a Blue colour option. It will also have a dual camera setup at the rear panel. The dual camera module is expected to come with a pair of 12MP sensors. The upcoming Xiaomi mobile will also feature a dual curved display which was previously seen on the Mi Note 2. The phone is been advertised by a famous Chinese actor and singer, Kris Wu.
As the Weibo post mentioned the comparison of the Mi Note 3 with the Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone, it could come with the same specifications set. However, Mi Note 3 is likely to boast a larger display. The teaser image didn’t carry a fingerprint scanner at the rear panel; hence it could be present on the front panel under the display.
If the past rumours of Xiaomi Mi Note 3 are to be believed, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will be launched in two variants- 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM. The device is speculated to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. There is no information about the storage offering on the device. The phone will run on Android Nougat OS with MIUI 9 skin on top.
