Vivo Y55A Spotted on TENAA with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

Vivo is reportedly planning on a new smartphone dubbed as Vivo Y55A. The latest mobile from Vivo mobiles has been spotted on Chinese certification website, TENAA. The device is spotted with some decent specifications, which makes the Vivo Y55A smartphone to go under the budget mobile phone category.

According to the TENAA listing, the upcoming mobile Vivo Y55A will showcase a 5.2-inch HD (720×1080 pixels) display. It will run on an octa-core processor clocked at the speed of 1.4GHz along with a 2GB of RAM. The smartphone will offer 16GB of built-in storage which is upgradeable up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Vivo Y55A will feature an 8MP primary rear camera alongside a 5MP front-facing camera. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and gets its power from a 2650mAh battery.

The TENAA listing also posted a pair of images of the device. Based on the images, the upcoming mobile appears to sport a metal body. The front panel of the Vivo Y55A smartphone has shown a camera lens on the top, and the capacitive Home button and other controls are placed at the bottom. While, the back panel of the device shows a camera lens on the top left corner.

Apparently, the Vivo Y55A Smartphone reminds you of the Xiaomi Redmi 3s smartphone. The only noteworthy difference is at its back panel. The Xiaomi Redmi 3s has featured a fingerprint scanner at the backside while Vivo Y55A has missed that feature.

Based on specifications, the upcoming mobile Vivo Y55A gives the impression like an upgraded version of the Vivo Y51L smartphone that was launched earlier this year in India. The Y51L features a 5-inch qHD display. The device has a quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS. The device gets its acceleration thanks to a 2GB of RAM and has storage of 16 GB. The Vivo Y51L was launched at a price of Rs 11,980 in India.
