The Nokia D1C is rumored to be the first Android smartphone from the company and is expected to launch at a price of Rs 9,999 or approximately $150. Several reports claim that the D1C smartphone will come in two variants based on its memory- 2GB RAM in the base model and 3GB RAM in the high-end model. Nokia is also rumored to introduce four different smartphone models in 2017.

HMD Global which is the partner of Nokia mobiles to manufacture and sell Nokia-branded smartphones and tablets is planning to introduce a Nokia-branded device during an upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) which is scheduled to go live from February 27 to March 2.

The first Nokia smartphone, dubbed as Nokia D1C is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080×1920 pixels). The high-end variant of Nokia D1C with 3GB of RAM will be priced around $200 (roughly Rs 12,999) as per reports. Whereas the cheaper Nokia D1C with 2GB of RAM will come in a smaller 5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display which is expected to be priced at $150 (roughly Rs 9,999).

Furthermore, the Nokia D1C is believed to come equipped with a Snapdragon 430 processor and will run on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. For photography, the handset will offer a 16MP primary rear camera with a 13MP selfie snapper.

Nokia as a mobile phone brand reminds a slight nostalgia. Despite its exit from smartphone industry for a couple of years, the company still has incredible loyalties around the world, including India. The announcement of Nokia’s comeback has opened many prospects for their fans.

Nokia had been rumored for developing a bunch of new devices (five) and Nokia D1C is one of the models which managed to grab the attention of everyone. According to Google Trends search analytics, the Nokia D1C is the most searched smartphone in India when compared with worldwide searches.

Chandigarh, Howrah, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, and Bengaluru are the top 10 cities searching for the Nokia D1C smartphone.
