Sony Xperia XZ Smartphone Launched in India at Rs 51,990

Sony mobiles has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia XZ in India. The smartphone will be available on sale from October 10 via Amazon India and retail stores, whereas the pre-bookings of the latest mobile will begin on October 1.

The Sony’s latest mobile Xperia XZ will be available for purchase in India starting October 10 at an MRP of Rs 51,990 while the best buy price will be Rs 49,990. The customers who will pre-book the Xperia XZ smartphone will receive a Sony SWR30 SmartBand worth Rs 8,990 free of cost alongside their smartphone unit.

The highlight of the Xperia XZ smartphone is its camera. The camera comes with triple image sensing technology with 5-axis video stabilization. The three sensors on the device include color sensing, focus sensing, and distance sensing. The 5-axis stabilization allows users to record steady shots.

The smartphone features a 23MP primary rear camera with Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 aperture, phase detection, laser autofocus, and 4K video recording support. On the front, there is a 13MP wide-angle camera with HDR and f/2.0 aperture. Sony claims that the front camera, loaded with Exmor RS sensors is 2.6 times bigger than the front-camera of any latest mobiles in the market.

The Sony Xperia XZ features a 5.2-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display. The smartphone is powered by a 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB onboard storage. The device runs on Android Marshmallow OS and it will be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat OS in 2-3 months.

The Xperia XZ is a dual-SIM (nano) 4G VoLTE smartphone with  support on both SIM slots. The device gets the power from a 2900mAh battery that supports Quick Charge and HTC’s Qnovo charging technology. The company claims that a single 10 minutes of charge can deliver a talk time of up to 5.5 hours.

On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi, VoWi-Fi, NFC, GPS, and Bluetooth. Furthermore, the device offers fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button. The Sony Xperia XZ comes with IP65/68 ratings which determine it as water and dust resistant.
