Samsung Galaxy S8 Latest Leaks: Sports Dual Camera at Rear Panel

While the tech enthusiasts are engaged in exploring the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the internet has already started surfacing with the next flagship device from Samsung, the Galaxy S8. The upcoming smartphone is believed to be launched with dual camera setup on the back panel.

According to GSM Arena, the dual-rear cameras of the Galaxy S8 will have two different resolutions. One will sport a 12MP camera while the other one will be a 13MP camera. The Galaxy S8 will also expect to feature an IRIS scanner just like the Galaxy Note 7 which was launched earlier this month.

The integration of dual cameras in a smartphone isn’t exactly a new thing. The much-awaited and rumored iPhone 7 will also expect to feature a dual-camera setup. The LG G5 and Huawei P9 both have featured dual-lens rear camera previously and the upcoming LG V20 and iPhone 7 Plus are also expected to come up with similar features.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will likely to offer a primary 12MP sensor which will go along with a 13MP secondary sensor. The outcome of dual camera setup will produce fine-quality of depth-of-field effects in photos. The 12MP sensor of S8 is expected to be ISOCELL S5K2L2 sensor while the other might be manufactured by Sony. Furthermore, the smartphone will more likely to have an 8MP front-facing camera.

The latest Samsung Galaxy S7 was released earlier this year. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge sports a 12MP dual pixel camera at back panel with an aperture of f/1.7 for capturing brighter images even in low light conditions. Besides this, the camera feature functions like time-lapse, optical image stabilization, slow motion, panorama, HDR and more.

However, the secondary camera had a 5MP resolution which is upgraded in upcoming S8 to 8MP. The recent Galaxy Note 7 also features the same 12MP primary rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera setup.
