Oppo A59s Spotted with 4GB RAM and 16MP Selfie Camera

The Oppo Electronics is reportedly planning for the successor to its A59 smartphone which was recently spotted on the Chinese certification agency’s website, TENNA. The upcoming smartphone was listed as Oppo A59s along with the key specifications including a 4GB of RAM and 16MP front camera.

The upcoming Oppo A59s is expected to feature a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with 2.5D glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Mali T860 GPU, a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space which is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. The device runs on an Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the power of a 2980mAh battery.

The USP of the Oppo A59s would surely be its selfie-centric front-camera specifications. The device has a 16MP camera lens on its front panel and a 13MP primary rear camera with LED flash on its back. The front-camera has dedicated selfie-features such as Beautify 4.0, Screen flash and others.

In addition, the Oppo A59s offers connectivity options such as dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, USB OTG support via microUSB port. The device measures the dimensions at 154.5x76x7.3mm and weighs 160 grams.  It comes in Rose Gold and Gold color options and is expected to get launched soon in China and India as well.

The A59 was launched in China for a price of CNY 1799 (roughly Rs 18,299) in June this year. The A59 had a similar set of specifications like the upcoming A59s. The only prominent differences are with its front-facing camera and battery. The A59 has a 5MP snapper while the A59s is expected to have 16MP camera lens. The A59 had featured bigger battery specifications with a 3750mAh of charge while the new A59s is listed with a 2980mAh battery which is slightly smaller than the previous.

The upcoming Oppo A59s looks exactly similar to the other Oppo smartphones that released this year. The sleek metal unibody design, iPhone-like antenna lines with rounded edges can be seen on the device. The looks of A59s are similar to the Oppo F1s and Oppo F1 Plus smartphones which have launched in India last month.
