OnePlus 3T vs Google Pixel XL vs Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe

OnePlus had launched its OnePlus 3T smartphone last month and the company has now released the smartphone in India as well. The newly launched OnePlus 3T looks the same as its original OnePlus 3 model. The device comes with minor upgrades in battery capacity, more storage, beefed up selfie camera, and faster SoC. But the improved specs do come at a cost. We have compared three latest mobilesOnePlus 3T, Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe, and Google Pixel XL  as all these smartphones runs on the same SoC.

Display

The OnePlus 3T smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) Optic AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top.

The Google Pixel XL offers a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) AMOLED display covered under a 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Lastly, the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe sports a larger 5.7-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 79 percent screen-to-body ratio, TruLife Technology, and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Price and Availability

The OnePlus 3T smartphone comes in two variants- 64GB internal storage priced at Rs 29,999 and a 128GB storage variant for Rs 34,999.  The device will be made available exclusively on Amazon India from December 14.

The Google Pixel XL Smartphone also comes in two variants- 32GB storage for a price of Rs 67,000 and 128GB variant for a price of Rs 76,000. The handset is available for purchase on Flipkart and other offline retail stores like as Reliance Digital, Croma.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is offered in two variants- 256GB storage alongside the Snapdragon 821 SoC at a price of Rs 62,999 and the other for Rs 49,999 which includes a Snapdragon 820 SoC.

Hardware Specifications

All three smartphones are equipped with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor built on 14nm process. All are clocked at 2.4GHz and paired with Adreno 530 GPUs.

The difference is in its memory. The OnePlus 3T and Zenfone 3 Deluxe offer 6GB of RAM, while the Pixel XL has 4GB of RAM. The difference in RAM value might not affect the regular Smartphone users, whereas the hard-core gamers will obviously urge bigger RAM.

Camera

The OnePlus 3T offers a 16MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX 298 sensor. It has PDAF, LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and 4K video recording capabilities. On the front, there is a 16MP sensor with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, full HD video recording, and PDAF.

The Pixel XL boast a 12.3MP primary rear camera with PDAF, EIS, f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording, and laser auto focus. Up front, there is an 8MP selfie snapper.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe flaunts a 23MP primary rear camera which is highest in the list. It has four-axis OIS, three-axis EIS, aperture f/2.0, and 4K video recording. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie shooter.

Operating System

The OnePlus 3T comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS layered with OxygenOS. It can be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat. The Google Pixel XL comes with the latest Android 7.1 Nougat OS. Lastly, the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS under ZenUI 3.0.

Battery

The OnePlus 3T comes with a 3400mAh battery with Dash Charging feature. The Google Pixel XL offers a slightly larger 3450mAh battery with Power Delivery Fast charging feature. The Zenfone 3 Deluxe packs a 3000mAh battery with fast charging capabilities.

Connectivity features

All three smartphones include 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. The OnePlus 3T and Zenfone 3 Deluxe are dual-SIM mobiles, whereas the Pixel XL is a single SIM phone. All these mobiles feature USB Type-C port for charging as well as data transfer.

Conclusion

When compared all three latest mobiles, the OnePlus 3T definitely looks better in every aspect. The price difference in between the OnePlus 3T and the 64GB variants of the OnePlus 3 is just Rs 2000. Overall, OnePlus 3T is a good value for money device.
