Nokia won the heart of millions with its high-quality, durable, easy to use and attractive mobile phones. Most of the Indian mobile buyers still have a preference for Nokia branded phone over the others. And when the most recognized Nokia brand disappeared from the market, many of those had to buy another branded phone having no choice.

If you are one of them, then there is good news for all Nokia mobile lovers here. Nokia has confirmed the official launch of their Android-powered Nokia smartphones by the fourth quarter of this year. According to a report, Mr. Mike Wang, who is the President at Nokia, China has confirmed that Nokia will launch three to four devices in the Q4 of 2016. These devices will consist of smartphones and tablets.

A deal was made in between Microsoft and Nokia which were putting the restrictions on Nokia from launching devices under its ‘Nokia’ brand name. But this agreement is expiring by end of this year. And hence Nokia will be able to come back in the market with their brand name. This indicates the eagerness of Nokia to re-enter in its vanished territory.

According to rumors, the company has started working on two prototypes; one of them will feature a 5.2-inch screen while the other will come with a 5.5-inch display. These phones will support 2K resolution (QHD) display along with the IP68 certification. IP68 Certification indicates that the upcoming phones from Nokia will be resistant to dust and water just like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7.

Nokia’s upcoming device will be manufactured by a Finnish company, HMD Global which was started by ex-Nokia employees. The company has an exclusive license to trade the official Nokia-branded smartphone and other devices after the conclusion of Nokia-Microsoft deal for the period of next 10 years.

The comeback devices from Nokia will run on an Android operating system with Nokia’s own Z launcher. The leaks surfaced earlier suggested that the upcoming Nokia devices will be powered by Snapdragon 820 processor and a 4GB of RAM. Some rumors and leaks are also claiming that the devices will come with colorful palettes for its casing, which has been the identity of a typical Nokia device.
