Motorola Moto Z to Enter Indian Market Next Month

The Chinese OEM, Lenovo is about to release its latest mobile Moto Z in the first week of October to the Indian market. Lenovo had launched the Moto Z smartphone globally back in June this year.

The key feature of the smartphone is its ability to connect a set of accessories called as ‘mods’ to the rear panel of the device which adds various functionalities to the device. The Moto Z is estimated to be priced beyond Rs 20,000, while the mods accessories will start from Rs 3,300 and onwards. The exchangeable modules can be connected to the back panel of the device using 16 magnetic pins.

“We have already announced six latest mobiles out of the 8 new devices. In this festive season, Moto Z will be added to our product portfolio.”, said Mr. Sudhir Mathur who is Executive Director of Mobile Business at Lenovo India.

Coming to the specifications, the Moto Z features a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display. The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with a 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB onboard storage variants. The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor on the front panel which is protected with a water resistant coating. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.

On the camera front, the Moto Z offers a 13MP primary rear camera with functions like laser autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, and optical image stabilization. On the other hand, there’s a 5MP front-facing camera with wide-angle lens and LED flash.

The Moto Z smartphone has replaced the 3.5mm audio jack with the latest USB Type-C port. While said that the company has bundled a 3.5mm to USB Type-C connector herewith. The device gets its power from a 2600mAh battery.

In addition, the company might also release its latest mobile Moto Z Force in India which is a shatter-proof version of Moto Z.  Lenovo has recently launched the Moto E3 Power, budget smartphone in India which is priced at Rs 7,999 and is now available for sale on Flipkart only.
